The app

Sumi.md has no account, no telemetry and no analytics. Your documents stay on your devices: the app never sends their content anywhere.

When the app goes online

At startup, Sumi.md checks for updates by downloading a small file from GitHub Releases (github.com). Like any web request, it gives GitHub your IP address and technical details such as the app’s user agent. GitHub’s privacy statement applies to them.

When you paste the address of an image or ask to download one, Sumi.md downloads it from the server that hosts it. A Document that still links to an image on the web shows it from that server too. Those servers receive your IP address.

This website

The website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracker. Its fonts are served from the site itself.

It is hosted by Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc.), which processes the technical data needed to serve the pages, such as your IP address. The downloads come from GitHub Releases.

Purchases and licenses

Sumi.md may become paid. Purchases will then go through a reseller, which will process payment and billing data under its own privacy policy.

If a version of Sumi.md checks license keys online, this page will say what it sends before that version is released.

Your rights

The controller of your personal data is Olivier Mattei. If you write to us, your message and address are used only to answer you.

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, correct and erase the data about you, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr) or with the data protection authority of your country.
